At some point the league has to realize that Canadian teams are at an undeniable disadvantage, and something should be done to make things a bit more fair. The sample size is now over 30 years of zero Canadian winners, and it's large enough to definitely say there's a problem. If you look at total number of playoff series wins since '94, Canadian teams have won a lower proportion than the proportion of Canadian teams in the NHL.
That said, I'm more than happy with another Canadian team bounced in round 2.
