Low risk, but it does make a small logjam problem. Pointing to SuperMatt's list again.

And if you look at the Flames organizational depth the wing is very deep:
Sharangovich - 26 - LH
Farabee - 25 - LH
Pospisil - 25 - LH
Klapka - 24 - RH
Zary - 23 - LH
Coronato - 22 - RH
-----------------------------
Stromgren - 21 - LH
Honzek - 20 - LH
Suniev - 20 - LH
Hoskin - 20 - RH
Gridin - 19 - LH
Basha - 19 - LH
Battaglia - 19 - LH
That's 13 U-26 wingers with 7 prospects that have pretty good cases to become NHLers at some point.

Instead of trying another Mantha-like signing, I think the Flames are better served to promote from within if a spot opens up in the forward group. Otherwise our roster looks pretty set:
Zary-Kadri-Pospisil
Huberdeau-Frost-Coronato
Farabee-Backlund-Coleman
Lomberg-Sharangovich-Klapka
X: Kirkland
Perhaps a LD signing would work on a 1 year deal with a trade deadline in mind but I would rather see Solovyov and Kuznetsov on the roster.
Bahl-Weegar
Solovyov-Pachal
Kuznetsov-Parekh
X: Bean
