Total malarky. There's a Rotary Club in St. Albert that is very, very popular, and they sell flags that they come and put out on your lawn for major holiday weekends. The last three years or so it seems like at least 50% of houses buy into this (at least in my community of St. Albert). They bring two flags, one Canadian, and one Ukrainian.
I can't recall the last time I saw someone flying an american flag. But I have a strong feeling that would invite vandalism in this community.
