Because he’s composed, mature, knows what he’s talking about, and we’ve seen nearly a decade of him in the organization, as well as with the Rockets where he ran a powerhouse program.
Ryan Huska is a good coach.
He has the lowest payroll in the league, a rookie goalie, a backup who’s statistically been the worst regular tendie in the league the last two years, the worst contract in the sport, and a 34 year old #2C as his #1C.
When Kuzmenko had the PP humming last year, he put Kuzmenko out a ton.
When Sharky was scoring 30, Sharky ate.
I’ve yet to see Flames players pass up opportunities or avoid trying to make skill plays because they are cowtowing to Huska’s system.
But every night, I do see a team that just doesn’t have the horses to make the elite plays some of these other teams can.
Is that the coach’s fault?
