Tkachuk is genuinely injured to the point where he can’t play. If he’s good enough to play in three weeks will he give it another couple weeks to rest up? Yes. Is that kind dodgy? A bit. But it’s not cut and dried. Groin injuries typically linger for a long time, so I doubt he’ll be 100 per cent when the playoffs start.
