Adams probably is trying to save his job though. That is always the issue. Owners and management make decision to fire a GM based on wins and losses and not what the plan is and how they execute it. I'd fire Adams now, but if you decide to stick with him, they need to give him time to execute the new plan. Decide now, GM's trading to save their job can set you back years.
If they trade Cozens for picks and prospects, it may take time for the right player to be available. They need to get the right player, and it might take a team moving on from their Cozens.
They also need to find some 3rd line vets that play the game the right way, too many young small skilled players.
