But Trump is not the leader of Canada or government of Canada. Trump is not the one that prevented Canada from giving itself options to diversify its economy if we ever end up in a situation like this one.
Canadians need a serious look in the mirror on this one and the result should be, hopefully, a course correction in how our geopolitical strategies inform how we design and build our economy.

Totally agree with our own failures to strengthen our economy. But I don't think anyone could have imagined unjustified economic hostility from our (former?) closest trading partner and ally. Let's not lose sight of the fact that Trump is the aggressor, and has no legitimate reason to be.
