Was/ is mangiapane a 2nd liner or a really good 3rd liner? I think the latter but I can see some argument for the former.
Flashes of elite skill arent really enough in the nhl, its about consistency. I hope Coronato has as good a growth curve as Mangiapane over the next year, but I am not sure I really see more than that, and to me that's not a top line player, but a really good complimentary piece.

Mangiapane, in his 21-22 year old season (2017-2018) played in the AHL and had 0 points in 10 NHL games. In his 23-24 year old season he had 32 points in 68 games (17 goals)
Coronato, in his 21-22 year old season (current season) is on pace for 20 goals and 23 assists.
They are not comparable, Coronato is wayyyy better
