I'm hoping for some advice.. my wife has struggled with ski boots for years as her feet, relative to those of the same length, are wider than average. In a comfortable boot her heel is way too loose, and so when she goes for a size smaller to mitigate the heel slop, she ends up with a boot that might feel ok at first but by the end of a ski day her big toe is in a lot of pain. We have had her last two pair punched to the point the local shop's techs say there is no more that can be done. I don't want to name the shop as this isn't a criticism of them per se (I like them a lot) but I was hoping for:

a) recommendations for bootfitters who are exceptionally good, especially if you have wide feet

b) recommendations for boot make/model that are already suited to wide feet. From browsing Reddit I have the K2 BFC and Atomic Hawx Magna on my watch list, but I'm noticing some local shops are sold out of both. I figure half the battle is knowing what to ask for and going to a shop that has some in stock... Does anyone have other recommendations for boots that are naturally suited to wider feet?

Thanks in advance.
