And yes djs, flames fans should be most empathetic towards players wanting to come to a small market, and if you weren’t so blinded by your hatred towards the oilers, you might see this is as a good thing, because regardless of the location of your team, if you’ve got a shot at the cup, players will still want to join your team. Not everything is about this small man narrative you’ve concocted in your own mind.

Others see this as Edmonton adding a piece that does not fill their needs at all. They need grit. They need penalty killers. They need defensemen who can play defense - not another offenseman. There is only so many roster spots and so much salary space, and the Oilers have used up a bit more of their limited resources.
