Trudeau, Katie Telford, Gerald Butts and the internal Trudeau camp and loyalists have fully sided with Carney.

And there's good reason for them to do so. Ask yourself why that is. There is no effort needed, Carney makes Trudeau look soft on certain policies.

There are 2 main camps in Liberal land right now, and Freeland is actually the one that is more looking to move away from Trudeau led policies. You are right that the Liberal core is more likely to want Carney over Freeland, but that is not necessarily to Canada's overall benefit.
