As far as whether he can win or not in the next election is entirely if the electorate simply only hated Trudeau's personality or if they also hated his policies because Carney is completely the ideological successor to Trudeau.

Based solely on his interview on the Daily Show, he doesn’t seem to agree with many policies that Trudeau’s governments have put in place. We shall see in practice if the “ideological successor” is just preemptive misinformation or not
