I dont really see the problem with handing him a fairly substantial contract other than age.

Really...for probably the next 4 years or so...the Cap isnt our problem, and in the 4 years after that it will likely have grown substantially and thus, still not be our problem.

Yeah, maybe you can get a haul for him, but he's also a pretty big part of the culture and, you still need vets and leaders. Why dispense with one that we already have and dont need to trade?
