Maybe he held on to Hanifan for too long, but if you're taking into account the GM said well we offered more in the summer. Without him saying what he offered is pretty moot point. Lots of teams overvalue their own prospects/players. So without KNOWING what was actually offered you have to take that comment on his word. Since you don't know who the GM is that said it or what he offered, it is just a comment.
Maybe he was on Hannifans no trade list, and he wouldn't wave, we don't even know if hte trade was possible for Conroy to pull off.
