I'll defend open ice and hard hits all day long, but hits from behind like this are almost never defendable. This is the type of play that absolutely cannot be part of hockey because the player along the boards is completely vulnerable and it can end his career.

8 games isn't enough.

Not sure how you're defending it (even Brian Burke wanted to get this type of play completely out of the game as it serves no purpose except to injure).
