Anyone that's ever had a single interaction with CNRL should know it's ownership.
Now in a fungible commodity business where lowest cost wins, they're a fantastic business. Add competition and choice for discretionary incomes, well not so much. Add an environment where you have to invest in people and technology to beat 31 other organizations with similar goals and framework to work in...well again you're coming up short.
Calgary really does deserve a better owner, they just don't know it yet.
