Playing the Kadri line and our 3rd pair against their 3rd / 4th line with a neutral zone faceoff was the right call.

It was a defensive zone faceoff and Fox was in the ice, so not all scrubs. Everyone was rested with a long break and he top 4 could either finish that period off or you get an offensive zone faceoff to get the third pair out if you must.
It was a bad decision and it allowed the Rangers to tie a game they have no business being in.
