Yes, Calgary is not scoring goals. He's one of the primary reasons why they are not. Changing things to help that will likely lead to a decrease in his PP1 time.

When your top PP1 guy is getting 50 points, expect the team to go through an epic period of not scoring goals.

You suggested a reduction of 20 points going from 50 to 30.
I'm not trying to make the case that 50 is great, just not ready to downgrade him by 40% playing on a team that isn't scoring, and may not have the defense core to transition the offence.
