Zero chance it works? How do you know this? That’s seems wildly overstated.
If Anaheim is motivated to move Gibson, and KeBrun stated in his piece both sides want to move on, then it seems likely they would retain. They might have to regardless of where he goes. If the Oilers send Calvin Pickard back as part of the deal and with the cap space they have today, let alone anytime between now and the deadline, the Oilers and Ducks could easily make a deal.
Oilers 1st? Well who are the other suitors and what are they offering? Take your pick between Carolina’s, Colorado’s or Edmonton’s first. They’re all likely to be in/around 25-32.
I know it’s Edmonton we’re talking about but I’d encourage you to be a bit more objective and take some stalk in what one of the most respected hockey journalists/insiders has to say.
