8x$8.5M seems a bit steep.
Slavin signed for 8x$6.4M. Norris votes in 8 straight seasons and 2-time Lady Byng winner. Textbook positioning, plays 3v5, and takes 2 penalties every 3 months. The only advantage Andersson has is 2 years of age when he'll be eligible to re-sign.
The next two years are very valuable, though, I think he has significant positive trade value. Worth quite a bit for a team who needs to add a solid piece during their peak window and just let him leave if that's the price tag. Funny because now that Pesce and Skjei are gone I can see it making sense for Carolina of all teams.
