I think if you read into what he’s saying it lines up with who is supporting him.

Bring in cheap, unskilled labour for low paying jobs. Develop AI to help replace as many other workers across as many labour spectrums as possible. Allow unmitigated resource extraction.

Large corporation beholden to shareholders would love that I would think.
