Takes you away from the rhythm of your game, seeing things you will when walking (especially approaching a green) and often I pull out a club or 2; walk to my ball and realise the lie calls for a different club but you just work with what you have at that point.
Unless it's super hot or a mountain course, I always prefer walking.
Humble brag here. I've got 52 rounds in so far and none of them are with a cart, with Speargrass being the only exception as it's too hard to walk. I walk and have Clic Gear cart to push. I like the fact that I can think about the next shot when i'm walking towards the ball and have the time to analyze and think where you want to hit your next shot. Riding a cart means rushing up to your ball and quickly deciding which club to use. It's worse when someone else is on the cart with you.

The other factor is like the exercise I get from walking. At age 66 I gotta work hard to stay in shape as it's hard to keep the pounds off when you get older.
