Am a little surprised something similar hasn't happened to the Bruins with Jeremy Swayman. Bruins have roughly $8.6M in cap space and they need to lock Swayman up long term. A team looking for a goalie might be willing to give up some picks to get him, worst case you force the Bruins into a big ticket long term deal.
Red Wings are in a similar situation with Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider, but I believe the Red Wings have more cap to work with. But that, too, would be one hell of a swindle.
