I just wanted to follow up on this...
During my wife's last board meeting with the Fuller Center charity, some members commented on a slough of random donations around this time. We didn't say anything to the board or told them why it was happening, but they did some sleuthing and figured out that the donations were related to the Stanley Cup Finals and my fandom. They figured it out on their own. How ####ing crazy is that?
In the end, about $890 came in from all of you to support the children of hard working families in the area. I'm a little embarrassed at how much came in just in the name of hockey camaraderie. For any of you that donated...thank you. It's possible that you may have created the first college graduate in a household, or set up a young person for a professional career that they may not have had otherwise.
I'm very, very, very grateful for your support. Our family is highly dedicated to the ideals of this charity, and your donations are extremely helpful. If you ever feel the need to help again, let me know so I can escort you through the correct channels, and perhaps get you a tax break.
