Ottawa would have picked 6th, Utah 7th, and Calgary 8th. So, all they missed out on was the chance to draft Catton.

I'll admit that I was pretty mad when Seattle took Catton. But, who knows how it all turns out, hope Parekh has a great career for us.
Just the fact that the Flames were interested in that pick is upsetting when the Utah, Ottawa, and Seattle ones were right there. They wouldn't have called if they weren't willing to give up
something for it. Which is the cost of those meaningless wins.
