In each of the previous five cases in the cap era where a 30+ goalie was traded for a 1st, there were always additional pieces going along with that 1st. Sometimes there were additional pieces moved along with the goalie.

A 1st is definitely not the maximum payment. That said, this was a good return and pretty close to the high end of the historical market.
