It’s one thing to criticize a coach or GM who makes bad decisions. As a fan, you know they’ll get replaced if they keep screwing up. Or even if they don’t - those guys are hired to be fired.
It’s a lot more disheartening to acknowledge owner meddling as a source of a team’s mistakes. Because the owner probably isn’t going anywhere. So the optimistic fan will just dismiss it all as conjecture.
