Trying to predict goalie value is a fool's game. It's entirely possible Markstrom's value won't ever come close to what New Jersey was offering again

His value will be keeping a veteran Vezina calibre goalie to show Wolf the ropes and to mentor him. An apprentice needs a good teacher to learn the small ins and outs of being a professional at this level day in and day out.
