Why people state this stuff like fact, I don’t know. I don’t see any reason why offers couldn’t be the same or better in the summer.

A few reasons:
- More goaltenders available in the summer, so takes away the buying team(s) focus on Markstrom as the primary target.
- Less urgency to make a move for a goaltender in the summer with a full season to play before playoffs.
- History of analytics deprioritizing goaltending and the assets to obtain it.
