He's got no D in front of him anymore. Good chance his numbers dwindle. Teams are loading up for runs right now, its been an active deadline. Teams don't need to do desperate things in the middle of summer, they don't have the pressure cooker of the deadline on them. The don't have the recency bias of watching Markstrom play at a high level right now. Other goalies may become available by that point. There are plenty of reasons the offers might not be as good then. Probably more reasons the offers would be worse.
