Seems the majority is so high on him and truthfully I haven't seen much of him playing, the games I have seen he never did stand out even the slightest. He is young so I'll continue to be patient. I just hope he isn't all hype.

It's always dangerous to get too fixated on one player, I agree.
But he's already eclipsed 50 points in his young career. I think under the right guidance in our system he should be alright.
I've gotten the sense that Jersey isn't the best place for development, given how long their rebuild has dragged on with all the young talent at their disposal. Case and point: Yegor.
Feels like a system where players are prone to plateau-ing after good starts (both Mercer and Sharky dipped a bit in their third seasons there).
A change of scenery might jump start his offensive game again.
