Detroit has a ton of prospects:
Centers:
Kasper (8th overall, 2022) - still adjusting to the AHL as a 19 year old, he's fast, he's a 200 ft player, and can become a 2nd line C when/if the finishing clicks. Think of Backlund, but with a bit more speed.
Danielson (9th overall, 2023) - A future top line center, but this one is all offense. He has vision and skill, so he generates something out of nothing. I don't think he'll be available.
Defensemen:
Edvinsson (6th overall, 2021) - good at defending, good skater, big, offense might come at some point but not a main part of his game.
Wallinder (32nd overall, 2020) - Big, jack of all trades, good skater, pretty good shot, but the ability to move the puck might need some work.
Sandin-Pelikka (17th overall, 2023) - A bit of a smaller offensive defenseman that can generate offense with his puck moving and shot. Like with many offensive defensemen defending is a work in progress.
Buium (36th overall, 2021) - Another big D, with some good offensive skills, skating is a bit of an issue. Struggles under pressure at times.
