I called it and stick by it.
It’s not that Money is coming up to Lind level.
It’s that Lindy is coming down to Money level.
Lindy is going to be acquired as a rental. He is not leaving money on the table by forsaking free agency.
Therefore his value will be based on what he brings now, and recent history is the best predictor of that. I see him added to a contender for centre depth and with max retention. He is a luxury add and probably doesn’t move the needle that much for a team with serious aspirations.
That’s worth a late first and a prospect.
If we take a contract back that needs a change of scenery that changes the return accordingly. But the Lindy portion is just those two prices or equivalent.
My guess is Money gets a late first and a similar prospect.
