One of the unanswered questions re. the Perry situation is why the PA didn't challenge it. Speculation has been that its because Perry didn't want to.
Happened with Patrick Berglund as well, where the Sabres terminated his contract (for very different reasons) and the PA wanted to appeal the whole thing. Berglund didn't want to, so they didn't.
