The spray really gets de-energized by the crack, and just drips back down into the toilet. Way less pressure remaining than taking a watery ####.

There are ones that can use a hot water line (I think) but more just use an electric heater.

The minimum you need is to tee off of the toilet supply line. For fancy stuff, you need an outlet. That's it.

If you have electrical on the other side of the wall, it's easy to retrofit an outlet. Or go peasant mode, water only.
