Anyway, I do think the Flames are a good trade matchup. But I don’t think there’s any interest from either side to help the other out whereby years down the road you’d scrutinize the winner. I’d venture both sides are hesitant to accept a big move from the other side. A Zadorov type deal I could see. But anything giving up larger assets, doubtful. So I’m guessing Treliving is stringing along until he makes a move with another team.
I also think Robertson from the Leafs will be the only prospect they’re dealing. He’s the biggest name and his career and development may be sidetracked because of injuries. Not saying he’s good but he’s the name they’d gladly hand over in a deal. Knies, no chance.

I'd take Robertson in a heartbeat...he's always looked good when healthy, he just hasn't been able to stay healthy. Even right now he has 5 points in 9 NHL games this season.
Also wonder if Flames would have any interest in William Villeneuve, he's been pretty good at the AHL level and they would have seen him a lot as he was Poirier's d-partner in Saint John.
