Well, in a world where Toffoli was not traded and Yegor was not signed the Flames would have been at about 1.5 million over. Trading Dube saves them 2.3 million, putting them 800K under. Replacing Dube with Pelletier puts them about 70K over the cap.
Trading Vladar saves them 2.2 million, putting them about 700K under. Replacing Vladar with Wolf’s 813K puts them about 100K over the cap.
So we are back to gutting the defence or trading both those players for nothing.
