Beyond this pre-season, expand it to last season as well - I don’t understand why the Flames would be in any rush to extend Lindholm right now. There’s just no reason to slap down a big contract today. The Flames shouldn’t be putting $9M into a 60 point centre that they think can rebound to a ppg centre. Hold tight for now and see if he and Huby can actually build chemistry and see some signs that Lindholm can be a PPG centre without Gaudreau/Tkachuk on his wings.
