I also didn’t love the video of him around the cars if it’s the same caddy. I don’t know what set Rory off ( and that wasn’t a good look) but it just seemed like he was pretty smugly strolling about after almost trolling for something to occur.
I think I must be getting old and grumpy. Pretty sure my wife and kids agree. Sigh. I love the format and concept of the Ryder cup, but hyper nationalism turns me off.

Yeah when you see the entire video of the green, the caddy looks like a jerk. Even yapping at Rory while he is reading his putt. And he did look smug in the parking lot. Supposedly the guy is not a dick IRL, but who knows. My guess is that Rory is pissed because there was no acknowledgement from him or maybe Cantlay that it was over the line.
And look, I hear you in the hyper nationalism front. I enjoy the Ryder Cup but it certainly feeds this kind of situation. You can’t expect players (or caddies) to be jeered for 9 straight hours and not expect some kind of occasional inappropriate reaction.
