Well Babcock's hasn't really earned the benefit of the doubt given his history and this being his first gig back in the NHL, the microscopes are going to be on him. I'm the furthest thing from a Babcock apologist but from what I have read and heard (from Gaudreau) this was simply Babcock trying to get to know his players and building a relationship with them. I still think the phone thing is weird but it appears that this was totally blown out of proportion by ex-players with axes to grind. I also think it's time that Commodore should just move on and let it go as he's starting to come off as petty. I get that Babcock wronged him but plenty of players have been wronged by head coaches and will continue to as people will always be people and the best course is to move on and not dwell on the negatives and make them a part of your identity.
