I'm good with that, but I think the Flames need to make the whatever "internal deadline" they want to set, line up with when they expect they can get the best return, or what they need to do to ensure they maximise return.
The hard part with trading any of those players, at the deadline, would be having the will to still do it if the Flames are in a playoff spot but they aren't signed. I feel like though Conroy and crew need to be willing to do that if they believe that's when they can get the best return if they remain un-signed. I get the "emotional" up and down that would cause for the fans, and players, but this is a unique situation, and you need to do what you must if a deadline trade is likely to get the best return.
