So just did a complete rewatch of Justified in preparation for watching the spinoff City Primeval. I hadn't watched the original Justified since it first came out so much of it felt like watching it for the first time. That show is a bloody masterpiece! Such great stories and characters and an absolutely perfect ending. Like probably top 10 in my all time favorite shows.
About 5 episodes into Primeval and it's OK. Can't compare it much to the original as it's not even close but it's still better than a lot of the shows that come out these days.
The good, Timothy Olyphant is still awesome and bad ass and steps right back into his Character as an older version of Raylan Givens. He's still one of my favorite actors. Boyd Holbrook definitely has some charisma and does a great job as the main villain. The actors playing Sweety and Sandy are pretty decent too. Also some decent actors in some of the smaller parts.
The bad, TO getting them to cast his daughter as his show daughter was not a good idea. Maybe the part was too spot on but she wasn't great at playing a teenage girl. Also, not crazy about the lawyer lady either and she doesn't have any chemistry with Marshall Givens at all. Story is a bit weak too but I'm hoping things will ramp up in the second half of the season.
Also...nice to see Deacon from King of Queens getting some work. I wondered what happened to that guy
