I mean, the UCP's lead was reduced considerably in this election. Was it the victory for the NDP their supporters (me included) were hoping for, not at all, but you can't say the tactic didn't cost the UCP support compared to 2019.

NDP would have won the election in a walk if it wasn’t for Smith riding in at the last second and out of no where ripping the UCP nomination away based on an appetite for protecting Alberta from JT and safeguarding resources and jobs.
You can spin it however you want with NDP moral victories but in the end.
