Both would come with different risks.
I think Nylander has more offensive upside, but would need a lot more money and cap hit, and for better or worse, we would have him for a long time almost guaranteed. Going by the rumours, it would be a hockey trade of a player coming in, and players going out.
Konecny like has less offensive potential, but is effective in other ways. His current contract is really good, but in a couple of years, he could bolt or require a huge contract taking him later into his 30s than Nylander. Having a local connection mitigates the risk of him bolting slightly. Given Philly's situation, the trade would likely have to send back some kind of futures.
Pick your poison I guess. I'd rather have one of them than none of them though.
