I feel like there's a weird judgement of defencemen by some fans sometimes. I feel like there's an expectation that if you aren't Robyn Regehr, you're bad defensively and can't be played.

Kylington was just as an important a cog in that 21/22 season as anybody else. He covered up a ton of blunders , while making some of his own. But.....BUT! That was his 1st full season and put up a rock solid 31 points and a +34!! Yeah yeah +/- will be an easily dismissed stat but he was so so good.
Guy deserve some credit like you said.
