As an assistant, being a good developmental guy who knows the x and o's is fine.
For head coach you need a guy that can motivate groups and has a track record of doing so.
Making the AHL playoffs is a pretty low bar and he saw 1 round in 4 years as the guy.
He seems like great assistant coach material. Not sure he's cut out to be the HC. Hopefully am wrong.
