It’s not that it’s not coming from the right place or the right reasons, but there’s likely a lot of shame in a situation like this. I don’t have a solution to offer, but like I say, I’d just be really careful about how to handle it.

Even if you have good teeth and proper dental hygiene, dental hygienists are some of the most judgmental pricks I've ever seen. I've never had an issue with the dentists themselves, they've always been professional and to the point. But the girls doing the cleanings really love those snide remarks for any little flaw they find
