Toronto gets a guy that never been fired.
Somewhat interesting for those that suggested Treliving was average and wouldn't be employed again.

It's funny I feel the complete opposite. I see a guy in Treliving who came into Calgary and the first thing he talked about in his press conference was "identity" and I don't think he ever established one.
His coaching hires were suspect. At first the coach was too hard on the players, then too easy on the players, then too hard, none of the coaches he hired besides Darryl were any good.
He has never solidified the goalie situation in Calgary. Even with Markstrom right now none of us are sure that he is the answer in net. Yes he had one good year. 1 solid year of goaltending out of 9 years as a GM?
His record bleeding away picks and his refusal to look at cap flexibility as an asset were very frustrating. Constantly plugging holes that he created.
He inherited a great situation in Toronto with a far more talented roster. But again he will have to find a goalie and perhaps a coach, two things that he is not very good at.
