And that same braintrust hasn't accomplished anything of note in NHL management over the course of a 30+ year career. He's only here because his protege gave him a job. It certainly wasn't through merit.

I get the skepticism in your premise, but Maloney has accomplished something.
For Nonis, I will agree, he hasn't accomplished anything at all.
