Sutter was an advisor/scout/whatever for the Ducks before joining the Flames and it was Murray who brought him in.
Personally I would hate for Sutter to win the power struggle but I do think if he does we see a GM like this come in vs Treliving staying or Conroy/Pascal getting promoted. Like I mentioned I think Maloney is tied to Treliving and both will be gone at the same time
